Donations Sought by Friends of Waianae Library

Friends of Wai’anae Library is asking residents for their gently-used books.  See the below letter from Marcy Thomas.

Dear Wai’anae Coast Residents,

Wai’anae Library is a very busy place. Many residents and visitors come to read, borrow books, study, do research, use the WiFi or computer, attend programs, or participate in community functions in the meeting room. The Friends of the Wai’anae Library (FOWL) have a small Book Nook in the lobby where they sell gently used books back to the community for reasonable suggested donations. The money is used to support the Summer Reading Program, Children’s and Holiday Programs, and other local library projects and programs.

The Friends’ Group needs your help! We need your clean, and gently-used books. So, when you are moving, sorting your kids’ outgrown books, or just doing a big clean-up purge, please remember the Friends’ of the Wai’anae Library will appreciate your donations.

You can drop off the books at the library during regular library hours, and may request a donation receipt. Please note that if the books are dirty, moldy, torn, have pages missing or are written in, we cannot use them.
Thank you for your support.

Sincerely.
Marcy Thomas
President of Friends of Wai’anae Library
