Oahu Lane Closures 2015 – week ending August 21

In observance of Statehood Day there will be no lane closures on Friday, Aug. 21

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) AIEA Three right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kaamilo Street Overpass and the Kaimakani Street Overpass on Monday night, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., nightly, for road repair work. 2) AIEA TO PEARL CITY Three left lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) on Tuesday night, Aug. 18, through Thursday morning, Aug. 20, from 8 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., nightly, for barrier installations. 3) EWA Shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Ewa Off-Ramp (Exit 5A) and the Kualakai Parkway Underpass on Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for utility installations.

4) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kamehameha Highway Overpass and the Waiawa Road Overpass on Sunday night, Aug. 16, through Friday morning, Aug. 21, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project. 5) PEARL CITY TO WAIPAHU Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the H-1/H-2 Split on Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for deck widening. 6) PEARL HARBOR Lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Arizona Memorial Stadium (Exit 15A) and the Radford Drive Overpass on Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail installations.

7) SALT LAKE TO HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (NIGHT WORK) Partial closures of the Airport Off-Ramp (Exit 16) and the Keehi Interchange ramps on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction on Tuesday night, Aug. 18, through Friday morning, Aug. 21, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for deck sealing.  All ramps will remain open. Motorists are advised to pay attention to all traffic control signs, allow for extra travel time and slow down in the work zone area.

8) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Lane closure of the Farrington Highway On-Ramp to the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction on Sunday night, Aug. 16, through Friday morning, Aug. 21, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project. 1) MILILANI TO WAIPIO (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Lane closures on the H-2 Freeway in the southbound direction between the Mililani Off-Ramp (Exit 5) and the Ka Uka Boulevard Overpass on Sunday night, Aug. 16, through Thursday morning, Aug. 20, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for bridge joint repair.

  • One lane closed from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Two lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Three lanes closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

1) HALAWA TO KANEOHE All lanes closed of the H-3 Freeway in the Kaneohe-bound direction on Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a television production.

2) KAILUA Lane closure on the H-3 Freeway in the Kailua-bound direction at the Likelike Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 9) on Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for guardrail repairs.

3) KANEOHE Lane closure on the H-3 Freeway in both directions between the Mokapu Saddle Road Underpass and the Kamehameha Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 11) on Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., daily, for median maintenance.

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

1) HAWAII KAI Lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in the westbound direction between Keahole Street and West Hind Drive on Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for pavement striping installations part of the Kalanianaole Highway Resurfacing project.

2) HAWAII KAI Lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in the eastbound direction between Kealahou Street and the Hawaii Kai Golf Course on Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility installations.

3) KAILUA Lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in both directions between Kapaa Quarry Road and Flamingo Street on Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, July 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail work.

4) WAIMANALO (WEEKEND WORK) Right lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in the eastbound direction between Kanapuu Drive and Flamingo Street on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for tree trimming.

5) WAIMANALO Lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in the eastbound direction between Bell Street and Huli Street on Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for pole replacements.

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

1) KAAAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) 24/7 lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the northbound direction between Keo Place and Trout Farm Road for emergency shoreline improvements.  Traffic will be contraflowed in the remaining open lane.  Motorists are advised to expect delays.

2) KAAAWA Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the southbound direction between Puakenikeni Road and Pohuehue Road on Monday, Aug. 17, through Friday, Aug. 21, daily, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for road repairs.

3) KAAAWA Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the northbound direction between Johnson Road and Kualoa Regional Park on Tuesday, Aug. 18, through Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility maintenance. The Kaneohe-bound lane will be contraflowed to accommodate traffic.

4) KAAAWA Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the southbound direction between Kualoa Regional Park and Johnson Road on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility maintenance. The Laie-bound lane will be contraflowed to accommodate traffic.

5) MILILANI Lane closures on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Waihau Street on Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail and loop detector installations. One lane in both directions will be open for motorists at all times. Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and use alternate roadways such as Kuahelani Avenue, Meheula Parkway, Lanikuhana Avenue, Ka Uka Boulevard and the H-2 freeway.

6) PEARL CITY TO AIEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Honolulu Rail Transit will be working on Kamehameha Highway this week at various locations. · 24/7 lane closures in both directions between Waiawa Road and Acacia Road. · 24/7 lane closures in both directions between Acacia Road and Waimano Home Road. · 24/7 lane closures in both directions between Lipoa Place and Pali Momi Street. · Lane closures in the westbound direction between Pali Momi Street and Honomanu Street, Monday through Friday. · Lane closures in both directions between Puu Poni Street and Kaonohi Street, Monday through Friday. · Lane closures in the westbound direction between Salt Lake Boulevard and Honomanu Street, Sunday through Friday. 1) HONOLULU Lane closure on Liliha Street in the northbound direction between North King Street and Vineyard Boulevard on Monday, Aug. 17, through Friday, Aug. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for sidewalk reconstruction.

— MIDDLE STREET —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Alternating lane closure on Middle Street in the southbound direction between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Aug. 14, through Saturday morning, Aug. 15, and Monday night, Aug. 17, through Thursday morning, Aug. 20, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. There will also be a 24/7 southbound lane closure and sidewalk closure on the west side of Middle Street. Signage will be posted instructing pedestrians to use the east sidewalk.

1) KUNIA Lane closure on Kunia Road in both directions between Hauula Street and Plantation Road on Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for storm drain cleaning.
