Oahu Lane Closures for the Week Ending Aug 14, 2015

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kamehameha Highway Overpass and the Waiawa Road Overpass on Sunday night, Aug. 9, through Friday morning, Aug. 14, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project. 2) PEARL CITY TO WAIPAHU Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the H-1/H-2 Split on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for deck widening. 3) PEARL HARBOR Right lane closure of the Arizona Memorial/Stadium Off-Ramp (Exit 15A) of the H-1 Freeway to Kamehameha Highway in the westbound direction on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for The Rail Project. 4) SALT LAKE TO HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (NIGHT WORK) Partial closures of the Airport Off-Ramp (Exit 16) and the Keehi Interchange ramps, on the H-1 Freeway eastbound on Tuesday night, Aug. 11, through Friday morning, Aug. 14, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for deck sealing.  All ramps will remain open. Motorists are advised to pay attention to all traffic control signs, allow for extra travel time and slow down in the work zone area.

5) SALT LAKE TO HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Three left lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Keehi Interchange and the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Off-Ramp (Exit 15B) from 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, through 12:01 a.m. Monday morning, Aug. 10. All ramps will remain open. Speed limits will be reduced to 15 mph in order to minimize traffic induced vibrations that may lead to cracking in the newly repaired deck.  Airport Viaduct improvements include concrete deck replacements, expansion joint repairs, and pavement restriping. Work is located between the Pearl Harbor Interchange and the Keehi Interchange.

6) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Full closure of the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) from the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Sunday night, Aug. 9, through Friday morning, Aug. 14, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project. — H-2 FREEWAY —

1) MILILANI TO WAIPIO (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Lane closures on the H-2 Freeway in the southbound direction between the Mililani Off-Ramp (Exit 5) and the Ka Uka Boulevard Overpass on Sunday night, Aug. 9, through Friday morning, Aug. 14, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for bridge joint repair.

  • One lane closed from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. · Two lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. · Three lanes closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY —

1) FORT SHAFTER (WEEKEND WORK) Left lane closure on the Fort Shafter/King Street Off-Ramp of the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the eastbound direction on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. for roadside maintenance.
— H-3 FREEWAY —

1) KANEOHE Lane closure on the H-3 Freeway in both directions between the Mokapu Saddle Road Underpass and the Kamehameha Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 11) on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., daily, for median maintenance.
— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

1) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Two lanes closed on Farrington Highway in the westbound direction between Waiawa Road and the Kamehameha Highway Overpass on Sunday night, Aug. 9, through Friday morning, Aug. 14, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project. — KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —

1) HAWAII KAI Lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in the westbound direction between Keahole Street and West Hind Drive on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for pavement striping installations part of the Kalanianaole Highway Resurfacing project.

2) HAWAII KAI Lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in the eastbound direction between Kealahou Street and the Hawaii Kai Golf Course on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility installations.

3) WAIMANALO (WEEKEND WORK) Right lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in the eastbound direction between Kanapuu Drive and Flamingo Street on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for tree trimming.
— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

1) KAAAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) 24/7 lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the northbound direction between Keo Place and Trout Farm Road for emergency shoreline improvements.  Traffic will be contraflowed in the remaining open lane.  Motorists are advised to expect delays.

2) KANEOHE Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the southbound direction between Mokulele Drive and the H-3 Freeway on Monday, August 10, through Friday, August 14, daily, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for tree trimming.

3) MILILANI Lane closures on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Waihau Street on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail and loop detector installations. One lane in both directions will be open for motorists at all times. Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and use alternate roadways such as Kuahelani Avenue, Meheula Parkway, Lanikuhana Avenue, Ka Uka Boulevard and the H-2 freeway.

4) PEARL CITY TO AIEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Honolulu Rail Transit will be working on Kamehameha Highway this week at various locations. · 24/7 lane closures in both directions between Waiawa Road and Acacia Road. · 24/7 lane closures in both directions between Acacia Road and Waimano Home Road. · 24/7 lane closures in both directions between Lipoa Place and Pali Momi Street. · Lane closures in the westbound direction between Pali Momi Street and Honomanu Street, Monday through Friday. · Lane closures in both directions between Puu Poni Street and Kaonohi Street, Monday through Friday. · Lane closures in the westbound direction between Salt Lake Boulevard and Honomanu Street, Sunday through Friday. 5) WAIKANE Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the northbound direction between Waiahole Valley Road and Haupoa Street on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail installations.

6) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Full closure of the Kamehameha Highway southbound On-Ramp to the eastbound H-1 Freeway on Sunday night, Aug. 9, through Friday morning, Aug. 14, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for the rail project. 1) HONOLULU Single lane closure on the Nimitz Highway Makai Frontage Road in the eastbound direction between Center Drive and Valkenburgh Street on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the rail project.

1) KANEOHE Lane closure on the Pali Highway in the northbound direction between Kamehameha Highway and Auloa Road on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for utility repairs and tree trimming.

2) NUUANU (WEEKEND WORK) Lane closure on the Pali Highway in the Kaneohe-bound direction between Waokanaka Street and the Pali Tunnels on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. for guardrail repairs and drain maintenance.
— ALA MOANA BOULEVARD —

1) HONOLULU Lane closure on Ala Moana Boulevard in both directions between Queen Street and Atkinson Drive on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for concrete pumping and deliveries.

2) HONOLULU Right lane closed on Ala Moana Boulevard in the eastbound direction between Kahanamoku Street and Kalakaua Avenue on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for sewage maintenance.

3) HONOLULU Lane closure on Ala Moana Boulevard in the eastbound direction between Holomoana  Street and Kahanamoku Street on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for tree trimming.

4) HONOLULU Left turn lane closed on Ala Moana Boulevard in the eastbound direction at the Atkinson Drive intersection on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, August 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for survey work.
— VINEYARD BOULEVARD —

1) HONOLULU Roving single lane closures on Vineyard Boulevard in both directions between Palama Street and the eastbound H-1 Freeway On-Ramp on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for road repairs and landscape maintenance.

2) HONOLULU Lane closure on Vineyard Boulevard in the westbound direction at the Aala Street intersection on Monday, August 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for surveying work.
— LILIHA STREET —

1) HONOLULU Lane closure on Liliha Street in the northbound direction between North King Street and Vineyard Boulevard on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for sidewalk repairs.

2) HONOLULU Lane closures on Liliha Street in both directions between North King Street and North Kukui Street on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for sewage maintenance.
— MIDDLE STREET —
1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Alternating lane closure on Middle Street in the southbound direction between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Aug. 7, through Saturday morning, Aug. 8, and Monday night, Aug. 10, through Saturday morning, Aug. 15, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. There will also be a 24/7 southbound lane closure and sidewalk closure on the west side of Middle Street. Signage will be posted instructing pedestrians to use the east sidewalk.
— KUNIA ROAD —

1) KUNIA Lane closure on Kunia Road in both directions between Hauula Street and Plantation Road on Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for storm drain cleaning.
