Farrington Highway Update: Lanes Reopened

Great news!  Farrington Hwy reopened following water main break:

“Police have opened two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane on Farrington Highway at Piliokahi Avenue for the Monday morning commute.

BWS finished repaving Farrington Highway, between Piliokahi and Nanakuli Avenues, before 3 a.m. Monday. But crews are keeping some lanes closed so they can complete procedures to disinfect the repaired main and connect it back to the BWS system.”

Tell me what you think about potential solutions to our traffic problem, such as:

1) condemning portions of the Waianae Coast Emergency Access Rd (WCEAR) to make them public roads, and

2) connecting Piliokahi Ave. to Helelua St. through a new back road to create a bypass.
