Aloha everyone,

We’ve been working with the State Department of Transportation (“DOT”), The Outdoor Circle, Neighborhood Board #34 and Kalaeloa stakeholders regarding the severely diseased Chinese banyan trees in Kalaeloa on Roosevelt Avenue. As per past practice, the following advisory was sent out to our Kalaeloa stakeholder groups to help ensure public safety in the work area.

KALAELOA PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY: Roosevelt Avenue, west end near Barbers Point Elementary/Costco:

The Department of Transportation’s contractor is expected to begin removal of 4 severely diseased Chinese banyan trees and 1 tree stump at the west end of Roosevelt Avenue this Wednesday, April 8, 2015. The removal work is expected to take approximately one week and the new trees are expected to be planted later this month or May 2015.

Please use caution while traversing the area.

Take care.

Tesha
