On March 18, 2015, a message from the governor was sent out informing the Senate that he withdrew his nomination of Carleton Ching as Chair of the Department of Land and Natural Resources.

Legislative Alert – Lobbyist Disclosure Statement Bill (SB1194 SD2) Schedued for House Hearing: Thursday, March 19, 2015

Legislation introduced by Senator Shimabukuro has been scheduled for a hearing before the House Committee on Judiciary.

SB1194 SD2 requires the electronic filing of lobbyist disclosure statements and requires that the filed statements be posted online.

The deadline to submit testimony is Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at 2:00 p.m.

Although late testimony can be submitted on the day of the hearing, testimony submitted less than 24 hours prior to the hearing may not be posted online or distributed to the committee prior to the convening of the public hearing. In-person testimony is also accepted for those present during the hearing. In both cases of late testimony, it is recommended that testifiers bring enough hard copy testimony for all committee members.
