Star-Advertiser 3/11/15 at 7:17pm: “The Senate Committee on Water and Land closed its hearing before 7 p.m. with chairwoman Sen. Laura Thielen saying the panel still has more questions for Carleton Ching and will reconvene at 1 p.m. Thursday. After more questioning, the panel is expected to vote on whether to recommend his nomination to the full Senate.”

Slippers donated to Nanakuli & Waianae Elementary School

On March 11, 2015, the Hongwanji Mission School donated slippers to students at Nanakuli and Waianae Elementary School with the assistance of Senator Maile Shimabukuro and Senator Glenn Wakai.

The Hongwanji Mission School’s mission and philosophy is to develop its children academically, physically, socially & spiritually through programs guided by Buddhist Values.
