Gary and Kukui Maunakea-Forth, Co-Founders of MA`O Organic Farms, Support PlayRugby USA

L-R: Kukui and Gary Maunakea-Forth, along with Sen. Shimabukuro, attended a dinner hosted by the New Zealand consulate to celebrate the arrival of PlayRugby USA to Hawaii.  The group hopes to partner with After-School All-Stars, the DOE, and other organizations to incorporate rugby into HI's after-school curriculum.  The group includes former professional "All Black" rugby team members, who visited Wai`anae Intermediate School during their stay in HI.  Gary Maunakea-Forth, co-founder of MA`O Organic Farms in Wai`anae, originally hails from New Zealand.  Gary played rugby while growing up in New Zealand, and teaches MA'O interns the sport.
