On 11/30/14, the Makaha Hawaiian Civic Club (MHCC) honored our beloved Richard “Buffalo” & Momi Keaulana, to raise funds for the club’s charitable causes. “Mahalo nui loa to Uncle Buffalo and Aunty Momi for all the pride they bring to the Waianae Coast. They have fostered many generations of surfers and ocean enthusiasts, and perpetuated the sport of surfing and the Hawaiian culture in countless ways,” Sen. Shimabukuro said.

In May 2014, Duke’s Waikiki also honored Richard “Buffalo” Keaulana for his dedication to the Hawaiian culture.  See this link for the TV news coverage.
