The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, January 30, 2014, 1:30 PM at the Waianae Small Boat Harbor.

Light refreshments will be provided.

More details will be forthcoming from the Wai`anae Hawaiian Civic Club.

Median Barrier & Traffic Safety Update (1/8/14)

Sen. Shimabukuro met with constituents in January regarding the tragic accident in Nanakuli on 12/28/13.  The group plans to get involved with the Neighborhood Board and other officials to try and find ways to improve safety along Farrington Highway.  These issues will be discussed at the Nanakuli-Maili Neighborhood Board Transportation Committee meeting on 1/16/14, 6pm, at Maili Elementary School.  This committee, chaired by Richard Landford, meets every 3rd Thursday of the month.
