  1. Aloha Maile,

mahalo for posting our conference information, we are most appreciative. The 2012 aha (confernece) was well attended, but more importantly the opio kane (young men) left with a greater understanding and application of their roles and responsibilities as Kanaka Hawaii and commitment to giving back to their respective communities, beginning with family and connecting to the greater lahui (i.e., ahupua’a, land districts from mountain to sea; moku, land districts containing several ahupua’a or larger land divisions; state, kingdom, nation, etc). As our senator, you live and practice these values, a role model for our opio kane.
