Community Development and Financing Conference – March 5 and 6

Aloha Everyone.

Auamo I Na Alakai (AINA) is presenting a conference on March 5th and 6th focused on the needs of communities, nonprofits and businesses engaged in, or interested in, planning for capital improvements and capital campaigns.  The conference will provide three strands of workshops that will address the needs of organizations preparing for long term projects, training for those interested in establishing business ventures attached to existing non-profit and for-profit entities, and an introduction to New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and other programs used in other states and cities to fund construction projects that benefit low income communities and individuals.

Our local speakers at the conference are from local organizations well known for their experience working with Hawaii’s nonprofit and business communities.  The conference will also feature national speakers recognized as among the best experts in developing financing strategies for capital projects.  They will not disappoint.

A copy of the conference flyer is attached as is a copy of the registration form.  Feel free to forward this email and the attachments to anyone you feel would benefit from the event.  If you have any questions, please call the number on the flyer or call me directly at (808) 265-3975.  Thank you for taking the time and I hope to see you there.
