Ka Himeni Ana, founded by Richard M. Towill, features Hawaiian music groups performing in the “nahenahe” style, the distinctive Hawaiian music form that features sweet vocal harmony supported by unamplified acoustic instruments.

Contestants vie for cash prizes ranging from $200 to $1,200. The winning group will also receive round-trip tickets to the Mainland, courtesy of Hawaiian Air.

Ka Himeni Ana organist and beloved Hawaiian music icon Mahi Beamer is the honoree at this year’s event.
