‘We Love Nanankuli’ a Big Success!

Senator Shimabukuro enjoyed the “We Love Nanakuli” festivities on 4/14/12 at Nanakuli High and Intermediate School (NHIS). “Mahalo nui loa to the organizers and participants in this fun event,” said Shimabukuro. “‘We Love Nanakuli’ builds community pride and togetherness, and gives us something to look forward to each year.” Click here for more photos of the event.

Kimo Kelii hosted a booth encouraging residents to get involved in the Nanakuli Hawaiian Homestead Community Association, NHIS PTSA, and other organizations. Kelii serves as a member of the Nanakuli-Maili Neighborhood Board, and Chairs its Education and Parks & Recreation sub-committees.

“Strong Man” contestants had to haul a semi-trailer truck!  The competition was a popular attraction at the event.
