This clean up is on a volunteer basis only. There is no specific organization running this project, which my friends and I have called “Project Loving People Back to Life.” Those who are currently involved live in the community and have the heart to help people. Unfortunately the people living here have received an eviction notice to evacuate the premises by Monday April 16, 2012 at 10pm.
We want those who are currently living there to know we are NOT involved in or a part of the eviction. Also, we are not sure who gave them the eviction notice but we want them to know that we are NOT against them either.
All we are trying to do is reach out to these people who are in a time of need, people who live in our community. Our heart behind what we are doing is to let them know there are people who care and are willing to help. Since this is all on a volunteer basis we suggest that people bring their own food, water, sunscreen, mosquito repellant, etc. Suggested wear: long pants, t-shirt, gloves, sturdy protective footwear, cap/hat. Two trucking companies are volunteering to haul the waste to landfills.
We are open to receiving any donations. Some suggested items: food, water/drinks, heavy duty trash bags, gloves, hand sanitizers, first aid kit, etc. Suggested items to bring with you: weed whackers, rakes, any cleaning supplies, etc.
Please let me know if there is any other information that you need. I thank you in advance for anything you are able to do to help us get the word out on this project.
Have a wonderful day and God Bless you!
Aloha,
Sam 🙂
