Testimony Needed for Sand Preservation Bill on Wednesday 3/21/12

SB 2305

deletes the “one-gallon per person per day” exception to the prohibition against the removal of sand and other beach or marine deposits, except for materials inadvertently taken, such as those carried away on the body, clothes, toys, recreational equipment, and bags. Creates an exemption for public emergencies and traditional cultural practices (SD2). The bill is scheduled to be heard by the Hawaiian Affairs Committee (HAW) on Wednesday, 03-21-12, 9:00AM, in House conference room 329.

Testimony should be emailed to HAWtestimony@capitol.hawaii.gov 24 hours in advance. (Note: Late testimony is usually accepted, however it may not make it into the official record).
