Hawaiian Language Immersion Bill (HB2875) to Be Heard Feb. 8

HB 2875 (companion to SB 3009), requires that HI State Assessment Tests (HSA) for Hawaiian Language Immersion students in grades 3-6 be given in Hawaiian rather than English.

It will be heard by the House Committee on Hawaiian Affairs, chaired by Rep. Faye Hanohano, on Wednesday, February 8 at 8:30 AM in Rm 329. You may submit testimony either in person, online (type “hb2875” in the box), or by e-mail at HAWtestimony@capitol.hawaii.gov
