Sex Abuse: SB217 Statute of Limitations Bill Needs Help

SB217, which I introduced at the request of a constituent, has passed final reading by the Legislature.  The bill eliminates the statute of limitations for child sexual abuse victims to file civil suits against their perpetrators.  It also includes a 2 year window to file civil suits for those victims who preceded this bill.

The Attorney General is recommending that the Governor veto SB217, so we need your help!  Please urge the Governor to approve SB217.  You may use language such as:

Dear Governor Abercrombie: I urge you to sign into law SB 217, which eliminates the Statute of Limitations for child sexual abuse victims to file civil suits against their perpetrators.

Sincerely,
