Aloha folks,

Kauhale Youth Education & Entrepreneurship Initiative, a merger of Wai’anae’s premier youth social enterprises, MA`O Organic Farms, Searider Productions and Makaha Studios, is looking to hire three positions including an Education Resource Specialist, an Enterprise Comptroller and a Social Enterprise Director.

The Education Resource Specialist (ERS) will work with our staff to build a stronger intermediate to college pipeline of social enterprise youth programs on the Wai’anae coast focused on agriculture and digital media. This ERS will focus on formalizing high school internships within Wai’anae High School’s Natural Resource Academy and Searider Productions, MA`O Organic Farms, and Makaha Studios.

  • Position Title: Kauhale Education Resource Specialist
  • Position Dates: February 28, 2011-December 31, 2013, F/T
  • Compensation Range: $38,500-$44,500 annually (grant-salaried: KELLOGG)

The Enterprise Comptroller will work with our Executive Administrator and Executive Director to monitor and administer the day-to-day organizational financial system, review and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, manage and supervise employee files, payroll and payroll taxes. Collaborative, facilitative and leadership knowledge and skills that assists a team approach, with Staff, Board, and Auditors- to manage our social enterprise financial system is desired.

  • Compensation Range: $44,500-$50,100 annually (grant-salaried: KELLOGG)

The Social Enterprise Director will work with the Kauhale Leadership Team from MA`O, SP and MS to manage current social enterprise activities, develop and manage emerging enterprise programs, provide fundraising, finance and resource management expertise to projects, and support social enterprise management, leadership and program on the ground. Experienced facilitation and strategic planning skills is preferred, demonstrated ability to develop and operate fiscally astute, culturally-relevant, and profitable social enterprise endeavors is desired.

  • Compensation Range: $62,500-$65,000 annually (grant-salaried: KELLOGG)
