Note: The Research & Economic Analysis Division issues periodic updates on economic and population data for the State of Hawaii, as well as economic reports and statistical briefs.

Please feel free to forward any of our reports to others to whom you think this information may be of interest.

The first set of census data since the Census 2000 for Hawaiian Home Lands is now on our DBEDT American Community Survey  page at:

http://hawaii.gov/dbedt/info/census/acs/ACS2009/ACS2009_5_Year/acs_hi_2009_profiles_5_yr_estimate.

These profiles contain social, economic, housing and demographic information for each area.  This dataset will continue to be the latest source of small area data for social, economic and other detailed information
until next December.

Official population totals will be forthcoming from the 2010 Census data.

Aloha Aina Earth Day Recycling Event: March 5, 2011 at Wai`anae High School

Wai`anae High School and Schnitzer Steel are coordinating this year’s Aloha Aina Earth Day recycling event in Wai`anae:

WAI`ANAE HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT

Recylable donations and drivers with trucks sought to help with curbside pick up.

Please refer to the informational flyer for details on what type of recyclables will be accepted.

Canned good donations for the Hawaii Food Bank will also be collected at the event.
